Meet Dr. Mark Wieczorek

Dr. Wieczorek received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Duquesne University in 1992. He completed his DMD degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia in 1996. He spent the next 7 years on active duty in the US Army serving our country. His first year was spent completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where he was trained extensively in many dental specialties at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. His remaining time was spent overseas at Camp Humphries, South Korea and Wiesbaden, Germany. He attained the rank of Major.Upon leaving the military and returning to the United States, Dr. Wieczorek worked as an associate for Jefferson Hospital Dental Associates in Philadelphia. He later purchased a dental practice in Chadds Ford, PA where he worked for three years. In 2007, he opened Newtown Family Dentistry in Bear, Delaware.

He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Delaware State Dental Society (DSDS) and International Team of Implantology (ITI).

Dr. Wieczorek is married and has three beautiful boys. He and his wife, Cindy, enjoy playing tennis and spending time with the kids. Dr. Wieczorek loves two things he learned to do while stationed in Germany – skiing and enjoying a good dark German beer!

Meet Dr. Colin Rice

Dr Colin Rice

Dr. Colin Rice is originally from New York where he graduated from SUNY in Binghamton, NY with a degree in Biology. He completed his DMD degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Rice served on active duty in  the US Army in both South Korea and Georgia until 2019.  He still serves with the Army Reserves as the Chief Dental Officer of the 338th Medical Brigade.

Dr. Rice has a passion for comprehensive clinical dentistry and a desire to help improve the oral health of his patients.  He practices all phases of clinical dentistry with a particular interest in aesthetic & occlusal reconstruction, surgery, and orofacial pain.  Dr. Rice is also heavily involved in dental education, having been granted Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry.  Additionally, Dr. Rice has the privilege of teaching and serving as Associate Program Director with the Einstein Medical Center General Practice Residency Program in Philadelphia helping teach young dentists who just graduated from dental school.

Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Rice enjoys living in Hockessin, DE with his wife and favorite orthodontist, Dr Leah Yi, and his baby girl, Emelia.
